BILLY MACK REECE
APRIL 4, 1919 - SEPTEMBER 19, 2011
Billy Mack, at the age of 92, went to be with his beautiful wife of 62 years, Jessie Nelle, in Heaven. Born in Ryan, Oklahoma to Mack and Maude Reece, he joined the U.S. Army in 1938 and retired a decorated WWII veteran in 1963. Bill and Jessie raised their family at various military bases throughout his military career finally settling at Ft. Lewis in Tacoma WA. They raised their children, Margaret and Susan and granddaughter Elizabeth in their home they purchased in 1961. Bill's favorite pastimes included cooking homemade soups, watching Lonesome Dove and teaching his great-granddaughter Krysta how to salute. Bill is preceded in death by the love of his life, Jessie. He is survived by daughters Susan Joyce and Margaret Bourne, his granddaughter Elizabeth (Craig) Sugai and great-granddaughter Krysta, granddaughter Rene Bourne and great-grandson Mehki, grandson Joe Ismay and great-grandsons Deigo and Mateo, and many dear friends. He will be remembered as a loving husband, grandpa and father and his gentle nature. Until I am able to hug you again Grandpa, you will live in my heart forever. A private memorial will be held at Mountain View on Friday September 30. A celebration of his life will be planned for a future date. Arrangements by Mountain View Funeral Home.
