Billy Hurst's Obituary
It's with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved Billy Hurst on February 27th, 2025, in Lakewood, WA. Born in Tennessee on November 16th, 1975, Billy was not just a husband, father, and grandfather—he was the heart and soul of our family.
Billy cherished every moment spent with us—whether we were camping at Staircase, setting off on spontaneous road trips, cooking up a storm in the kitchen, or cheering on our favorite college football team together. His laughter was infectious, and he had a special gift for bringing joy to everyone around him.
He was Alabama football's biggest fan—"Roll Tide!"—and his enthusiasm on game days was unmatched. We have countless memories of packed living rooms filled with his spirited cheers and playful banter.
Billy's passions were many. He loved sports, cooking, outdoor activities, and games, especially old-school video game classics. His playful spirit kept us all young at heart.
In 1995, Billy began his proud service in the US Army as a 19 Kilo Tanker where he served honorably until his retirement. His determination, loyalty, and hardworking nature were evident in all he did, both in his service and at home.
His greatest joy was making people laugh and spending time with family, especially his grandkids, Milly and Cami. He was a doting husband to Jami, a supportive father to Robert, Maddy, and Brittney, and a loving father-in-law to Megan and Josh aka "Lance".
Billy was kind, determined, hardworking, loyal, and supportive. His warm hugs, hearty laughter, and the way he lit up every room will be deeply missed.
We will forever treasure the memories we've shared and the love he poured into our lives. Rest easy, Billy. Your legacy of love and laughter will live on in all of us.
