Bill Walsh's Obituary
BILL WALSH
Our beloved husband and father passed away in the early morning hours of Monday, August 31, 2009 at St. Joseph's Hospital. Bill had fallen ill in the past week and was unable to recover from emergency surgery on Saturday.
Bill was born at home in Vinton County, Ohio, on November 17, 1939, to Emma and Jerry Walsh. He graduated from Southeastern High School, Richmondale, Ohio in 1957 and immediately went in to the Air Force. He had multiple duty stations during his enlistment and eventually arrived at McChord Air Force Base in 1959, where he met and married his wife, Joyce. Together, they spent 50 years working and raising their family in Spanaway. During those many years he drove dump truck locally, long haul and as a sleeper team with his wife for Gordon Trucking. Bill is survived by his wife Joyce, son Rick, and daughter Debbie (Mark) Mead; brother Jim (Ann) Walsh of Londonderry, Ohio, sister Sue (Buzz) Ison of Ray, Ohio, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father and mother.
There will be no funeral services, at the request of family, and private interment will be at Mountain View Memorial Park. A Celebration of Life will be held in the next couple weeks, for all to gather and renew memories and acquaintances.
