Bill Callaghan's Obituary
William "Bill" Robert Callaghan, 66 of Tacoma, Washington passed away on July 7th, 2022. He was born on June 17th, 1956 to Charles Jerome Callaghan and Doris Irene Cook Callaghan. Bill will be missed and is loved by many family and friends.
Bill served in the US Marine Corps, 1974-1978, as a Sargeant, Electronic mechanic and FADAC radar repairman, stationed in Kaneohe, O’ahu, Hawaii. Bill attended North Seattle Community College, studying courses in circuit analysis, analog circuits, microprocessors, electronics and drafting.
Bill was a kind man who loved his family. He spent a lot of time in study, with interests in a variety of subjects ranging from technology to spirituality. His interests also included health and wellness, which led him to small businesses in massage therapy and essential oils. Bill is survived by his siblings David Callaghan, Patricia Callaghan-Sloppy, Gail Hartman, and Jeanie Hagen. Bill is also survived by his many neices and nephews. After his military service, he went to work for Fluke Corporation. He was employed as an electronics technician at their Everett facility for over 30 years. He was known to be a team player and participated in numerous project teams focused on continuous improvement.
A memorial service will be held on August 20, 2022 at 10:00 AM. Mountain View Funeral Home, 4100 Steilacoom BLVD SW, Lakewood, WA 98499. The service will be officiated by Emily Austin, Deacon, The Episcopal Church. A family celebration of life will be held at 12:00 PM in Gig Harbor, WA.
