I’m so saddened to hear of Bev Gleason’s passing. She and her husband, Gene, were like second parents to me growing up. I was very lucky to have been raised across the street from Parkland Putters Miniature Golf Course, where I later worked with Bev on most morning shifts. (They employed most of us kids in our neighborhood and the memories we made working for Bev & Gene were priceless.)
I’ll always remember Bev’s sunny personality. She was such a bright light to everyone she met. Always such a happy, fun lady who got a kick out of us kids, especially when we started dating. She had fun watching us grow up.
I’ll always remember Bev’s love for bright colors. She was such a sunny lady. We spent a lot of time at their home swimming in their pool and at their lake house. Bev always had the most beautiful tan in the summer which she enhanced with the coolest bright summer outfits. One of my favorite things about her fun personality. She was always happy to see others—so friendly.
My heart, thoughts and prayers go out to Julie, Ed, Tom and their families during this time of loss. May everyone be comforted in that she is now resting hand in hand with Gene in God’s eternal peace.
With love,
Tami “Slemko” Creese
