Beverly M. Doyle's Obituary
Beverly Marie (Danard) Doyle was born in Tacoma, WA on August 21, 1931 to Wm (Ben) and Ethel Danard and went to be with the Lord on July 28, 2017. Beverly grew up in Tacoma where she graduated from Lincoln High School. She helped start her Dad’s business by doing his books on the dinning room table before going to Bates Vocational School to become an LPN. On October 6, 1951 Bev married the love of her life, Ed Doyle. Ed was in the Air Force so they traveled and lived in many states over the next 13 years. Bev and Ed had four children along the way and they were her pride and joy. When Ed retired from the Air Force they moved the family back to Tacoma where she was active in all that her children were involved in. She was an accomplished seamstress and made many of her children’s clothes. As the kids grew she moved on to making beautiful bridal gowns for many of the brides to be in the family. When the bookkeeper of the family business Danard Electric suddenly left she returned to work with Ed again doing the books until their final retirement. Together they sold everything and purchased a large fifth wheel trailer and traveled across the county from one side to the other spending most winters in much warmer climates. Bev loved cruises, her and Ed went on many cruises where she loved to dress up and go to the captain’s dinner. Hawaii is a place Beverly love to go, she was always ready to go whenever anyone would take her and she went often. Bev enjoyed many crafts and was successful in all of them. She loved her grandchildren and they were tickled by her many stories. Her great grandchildren brought a special sparkle to her eyes. She was always making everyone laugh with her words and stories.
Bev became a great Seahawk fan in her later years, proudly wearing her Seahawk shirt as she watched the games on TV, even though she didn’t completely understand the game. As her health declined, she began making jewelry focusing on Seahawk colored bracelets and earrings for all the girls in the family.
Beverly is preceded in death by her late husband Ed, the love of her life for over 57 years.
She leaves behind her four children, Shirley (Larry) Shilley, Michael (Bonnie) Doyle, Deborah (Bill) James, and Kenneth (Sandy) Doyle, seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. She was deeply loved and will be missed by all.
Graveside service will be on Saturday August 5th at 11:30 AM at Mountain View Cemetery followed by a memorial service the same day at Spanaway Lutheran Church beginning at 2 PM.
