Beverley June (King) Zook's Obituary
Beverley June (King) Zook was born in Alexandria, South Dakota on June 16, 1935 to parents Herbert and Esther King. In the 1940's, the family moved to Washington. Beverley was in the first graduating class from Bethel High School, 1953. During her time in Germany, she was the manager of the local NCO Club. In 1968, Beverley went to work for the Tacoma Postal Service where she met the love of her life, Frederick, and the couple were married in 1970. She went on to work as a Postmaster until her well-earned retirement in 1992. After retirement, she then went on to work for the Puyallup Fair for 26 years. She was also on both the board of the Salvation Army and the board of the South Hill Historical Society! One of her favorite things to do in her later years was to hold garage sales where she could meet people and socialize.
Beverley was preceded in death by sons John T. Harris and Craig L. Harris. She is survived by her husband Frederick and her daughter Susan M. Zook, grandchildren Jamie Duvall, Brandon Harris, Brooke Carlile, and great grandchildren Carter, Baylyn, Mia, Madden Duvall, Magnus, Mila Harris, Vivienne, and Penelope Carlile.
Beverley will be loved and missed deeply by all who knew her.
