Betty Jo Bramblet's Obituary
Betty Jo Bramblet
03/27/1923 to 09/03/2013
Betty Jo Bramblet went peacefully home to be with her heavenly Father and to join her husband and the love of her life on September 3, 2013. Born in Ellensburg, WA, Betty was the only child of Velma Miller and Joseph Champie. She was primarily raised by her father who worked nights for the railroad. She always enjoyed waiting along with their Boston terrier dog for him to return each night. While attending Central Washington College in Ellensburg and graduating with majors in education and music, she was also vice-president of Sigma mu Epsilon (a music organization), President of Inter-varsity Christian fellowship, President of Roger Williams, as well as a member in the Women’s Glee Club. Betty was an excellent pianist.
After graduating, she moved to Pasco, WA where she began teaching school and there she met Rev. Lyle Bramblet. Lyle has just started a new church in Pasco that was in need of a pianist. After a short courtship they soon married. They had four children- Jim, John, Joanne, and Janet.
Betty was a very loving and caring woman who always put others needs before her own. She spent over 50 years by her husband’s side starting new churches, playing the piano, teaching Sunday School and performing many of the duties necessary to run a church. She always opened up her home to others, making them feel welcome and cook countless meals for them.
She loved her children very much and prayed for them endlessly. Her husband Lyle once said of her “Mom is the best pray-er we have”.
She is survived by her four children- Jim Bramblet, John Bramblet, Joanne Johnson, Janet Davenport and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
