Betty Claire Scearcy's Obituary
Our brothers Lannie Lee and Jens Ruben Scearcy took our mother Betty Clair Scearcy by the hand to meet with Jesus May 26th at 8:30 AM Monday morning.
Daughter of Frances and Reuben Weeks, sisters Florence Jansen, Vina Ward and her baby brother Danny Weeks were also waiting to welcome her home.
Betty was born August 8th 1926 in Nampa Idaho where she met and later married her soul mate Everette Scearcy. They had an amazing 57 years together raising 6 children; Sons Bernie, Lannie (Carol), Jens, and Matthew Scearcy (Sherry) and Daughters Leanna Scearcy Darland (Patrick) and Clarissa Scearcy Kloser (Steve).
Everette retired in 1986 and they began their Autumn years traveling between their home ports of Smiths Ferry Idaho and Bouse Arizona. She and daddy enjoyed spending time with her sisters and brother 4 wheeling in the deserts of Arizona to the Cascade Mountains of Idaho.
Winter came way to soon and they moved home to Tacoma were they have been living at Kings Manor these past 10 years. Together they enjoyed their grand children and great grandchildren. Recently Everette developed Alzheimer's which forced them to live apart this past year.
Betty passed peacefully with her sons and daughters at her bedside. She was there for their first breath and we were there for her last.
We know that she is waiting impatiently for daddy to join her soon.
We will be having a celebration of life open house at the home of her youngest son Matthew on Saturday June 7th from 11:30 - 2:00 at 27620 93rd E Ave Graham, WA.
