Betty May Larson's Obituary
Betty May Larson, 82, passed away on March 23, 2019. She was born in American Falls, Idaho, on April 28, 1936, the daughter of Lars and Mildred Christensen, the second of five children. Betty was a graduate of Puyallup High School and went on to receive her Associate's degree. After graduating, she began raising her family while pursuing her career as a comptroller for various industries. She was able to retire in 1999 after many years of dedicated service. In retirement she enjoyed travel, being a member of the Red Hat Ladies, participating in the Volk March and volunteering at the Nisqually Wildlife Refuge. She was a member of ABWA and was awarded their Woman of the Year award. Betty was an independent, loving, feisty, and supportive mother, grandmother, and friend. Her greatest achievement was having her family, and her trip to Denmark. In addition to travel, Betty enjoyed Puzzles, bird watching, and gardening.
She is survived by her daughter, Becky Risser and husband Dave of Seattle, WA; son, Jerry Larson of Tacoma, WA; son Dave Larson and wife Heather and their children, Hayden and Forest of Texas.
A memorial service will be celebrated at 10 am on Saturday, March 30, in the Garden Chapel at Mountain View Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 4100 Steilacoom Blvd. SW, Lakewood.
