Betty Pauline Johnson
Betty passed away on Tuesday morning, July 7, 2015 in the comfort of her family. She was born in Fresno, California September 22, 1923. She grew up on a ranch where she rode and showed horses. In 1943 she met and married Allen B Johnson (Col USAF, Ret). They were married for 58 years before his death in 2002. They had assignments that expanded the globe before settling in Lakewood. During retirement they enjoyed traveling to many places around the world. Betty also enjoyed volunteering for over 40 years as a Red Cross Volunteer during their many military assignments and then finally at Madigan Army Hospital.
Betty is survived by her son and daughter in law, Chris and Pam Johnson, her daughter and son in law, Linda and Robert Simpson, three grandsons, Ashley Johnson and wife Sallie, Guy Johnson and wife Claire, and John Simpson, two great grandchildren, Lucie and Felix Johnson. She was a wonderful wife, loving mother and grandmother. She will truly be missed.
