We were so sorry to hear of Betty's passing. We have many fond memories of Betty as both a teacher and principal at Roy Elementary. Our children were always very fond of her. I remember when she said that no one would remember her as the best housekeeper, but she hoped that they would remember her as a "good mom".. I'm sure that they will! Betty helped select me for my first principalship in Bethel in 1985- first at Kapowsin and then to open Pioneer Valley Elementary in 1991. She was a true mentor, colleague and friend.
