Betty J. Noble
(Alpha 3/29/31 -" Omega 4/23/09)
Rev. Betty Jean Brocks was born on March 29, 1931, to Judge Brocks and Ollie Mae Sanders in Northport, Alabama. She attended Tuscaloosa County Training School in Northport. At the age of 17 she met and married John H. Noble. His military career in the United States Air Force led them to Sioux City Iowa. During their tour in Sioux City she attended Mount Sinai Holiness Church and accepted the Lord. There she grew in the Lord under the pastorship of Bishop Frankie Q. Roberts and was called to the ministry. Shortly after that they were transferred to Tacoma Washington, McChord Air Force Base where they were blessed with a daughter, Deborah Diane Noble on January 15, 1965. At this time she worked as an evangelist at several churches in the Greater Tacoma Area. Reverend Noble joined New Covenant Pentecostal Tabernacle pastured by Dr. Edna Travis. The Lord led her in 1978 to open a work and Mount Sinai Deliverance Church Inc began. The work was supported by her husband John and their daughter Diane. Pastor Noble worked endlessly for the church. Through her ministry many were led to the Lord and Mount Sinai grew. Many were blessed through Pastor Noble's excellent cooking. Not only could she prepare soul food she could cater for any occasion and did so many times. She fed with natural food, as well as, spiritual food. Reverend Noble was known as a woman of wisdom. Overseer Noble taught us to pray, trust God, and to live Holy. She will be greatly missed by her children in the Lord at Mount Sinai where her legacy and love for souls will continue.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband John H. Noble, her grandmother Annabell Moore, her mother Ollie Mae Sanders, and her brother USAF Col. James Howard Brocks, two sister-in-laws Alberta Noble and Mattie Witherspoon.
