Betty Jane Furlong's Obituary
Betty, loving wife and mother, passed away December 29th. She and her husband Dave would have been married 61 years this January. They had enjoyed many years together sharing hunting, fishing and clam digging outings. Dave and Betty were married on 1/11/43 in Vancouver, WA. Dave then went off to represent our country during WWII. During that time, mom gave birth to her first born, Carol Ann. After DaveÂ's return from war, two more daughters were born, Patricia and Sharon. Betty raised her family in Tacoma, WA. She also worked many years in the dry cleaning business. She was very proud of her accomplishments in that area. We thank you mom for your Â"long rice,Â" dances with dad in the living room, clam dinners and birthday songs. Your husband will always have the precious memory of your Â"good nightÂ" kiss.Betty is survived by her husband David of Tacoma; daughters, Carol Heim of Woodinville, Patricia Becktold of Yelm, and Sharon Budinich of Gig Harbor; nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren. We, as a family, have been so blessed to have experienced her love, smile, and forgiving nature.
