Betty Jane (Demers)'s Obituary
Born in Tacoma November 23, 1923, Betty Perrin died July 27, 2006 in Tacoma of complications from AlzheimerÂ's, which she lived with the past 12 years.She graduated from Lincoln High School in 1942, and then worked in San Francisco for a year, a city she loved and visited many times. She loved to dance and during WWII attended many USO dances. She worked several years for the IRS and retired from United Mutual Savings Bank after 25 years.She had been a member of Rainbow Girls, Mortgage Women, PTA, Garden Club and the Danish Sisterhood. She enjoyed travel, plants and flowers, and most of all shopping. She was a wonderful mother, always putting her children first.She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Helen Demers, and her beloved husband Edouard Perrin in 1982. She is survived by her brother Richard Demers of Federal Way, and his son Rick; daughter Karen (John) Brau of Tacoma, granddaughter Jackie (Wayne) Pate and great-grandchildren Brandon and Lindsay of Harstine Island; grandson John, Jr. (Sherry) Brau and great-grandson Keith of Fountain Valley, CA; son Dana Maurmann of Arlington, TX, daughter Kathy (Mick) Erholm and grandsons Matt and Josh of Acme, WA; and son David Maurmann and grandson Nathan of Tacoma. She is also survived by EdÂ's children Jerry, Diane and Dick and their families.Heartfelt gratitude to Flora Vista Adult Family Home, MomÂ's home the last four years, for their loving and devoted care.A Memorial reception will be held at 2:00 on Sunday, August 6, 2006 in the Mountain View Celebration of Life Center.In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be sent to AlzheimerÂ's Association 127 30th Ave. N.E., Suite 101, Seattle, WA 98125.
