Betty (Jeane) Fraser's Obituary
Betty was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on November 28, 1925 and completed her earthly journey on February 1, 2023. She was one of 10 children and grew up on a ranch in eastern Nevada. She was married to her husband Don Fraser for 65 years. She is survived by her only son Gary and his wife Pat and 4 granddaughters: Jenn Fraser, Amy (& Pete) Westberg, Katie (& Jesse) Schilling, and Colleen (& Hayden) LeRoy. There are 14 great-grandchildren: Brandon (& Sarah), Cassie (&Tristan), Lincoln, Nicholas, Everett, Harlee-Kate, Hewitt, Titus, Phoenix, Kingston, Joy, Kamiyah, Liam, and Boston and one great- great-grandchild Connor.
After she married Don, they spent most of their lives in Vancouver, Chehalis, and Tacoma/Puyallup Washington. Betty worked for the phone company for many years and retired in the 1970s. She enjoyed her time with her friends and family. Favorite activities included gardening, cooking and baking, caring for others, hosting events with family and friends, visiting and seeing new places, and active in her church. In her earlier years she and Don were avid square dancers and had many close friends they shared wonderful memories together. Betty will be remembered for her ready smile, encouraging heart and care for others. In her final months of life she moved to Meridian, Idaho to be with her family. She was cared for by her granddaughter (Katie) and her husband (Jesse) and their 3 lively children. She enjoyed the time immensely.
A memorial service is scheduled for Betty at the LDS church located at 12407 Military Road East, Puyallup, WA 98374 at 11:00 AM on February 18, 2023. A viewing time for Betty will be at Mountain View Funeral Home at 4100 Steilacoom Blvd SW, Lakewood, WA from 10-4 on February 17, 2023.
