Betty Ann (Kelly) March Allen's Obituary
Born July 5, 1913, died January 25, 2017. Daughter of Malcolm and Edna Kelly, who homesteaded on the Queets River in 1904, and built and operated Kelly's Dude Ranch. She started school in Quinault, graduated high school in Redondo Beach, CA, then attended Stanford University.
In 1933, she married James H. March, a local real estate developer. They lived in Tacoma and Lakewood. Divorced in 1949, Ann became a medical secretary, working at Mary Bridge and later at Seattle Children's hospitals. She also taught medical terminology in Tacoma and Seattle vocational schools.
In 1993, Ann moved to Panorama City (Lacey, WA) where she lived the rest of her life. In 1998, she married Dwight Allen, who died the following year.
She leaves her two children, Barbara Okey, of Tacoma, and Jim March, of Grass Valley, CA, as well as five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
