Bette Maduzia's Obituary
Bette Jane Maduzia (Petersen) Born Sept 5, 1922, passed away peacefully April 2, 2012. She was born and raised in Steilacoom, Washington, and graduated from Stadium High School.
Bette met and married Eldon Blake Helgelien in Anchorage, Alaska in 1950. From that unity came the four J's - Jane, Jeri, Judy and Julie.
She loved cooking, bowling, playing the piano, and riding motorcycles.
Bette was preceded in death by her parents William and Barbara Petersen, Eldon Helgelien, and her daughter Judy Sue Helgelien.
She is survived by daughters Jane Helgelien, Jeri Munford and Julie Harris, grandchildren Kelly Siebecke, Tami Willison, Jackie Kellogg, Kari Svendsen, Shannon Suafo'a, and Tommy Munford Jr., and great-grandchildren Melanie Johnson, Trey Kellogg, Jazmyn Kellogg, Isabella Clements and Seanna Suafo'a.
At the family's request there will be no services, rather a celebration of life at a later time. We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Tacoma General Hospital and Hospice for their comforting care. Loved by so many, forever in our hearts.
