Bette A. Anderson's Obituary
Bette Ann Anderson passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones, June 21, 2010. She was born September 13, 1934 in Spokane, WA, and graduated from Marycliff High School in 1952. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, David Anderson, October 12, 2005. Bette was a gracious, kind, and caring mother, sister, and friend. She enjoyed telling stories and sharing her sense of humor with others. She appreciated the beauty of nature and her surroundings, especially her home. In addition to being a mother, Bette was proud of her work in customer service for Land Title Insurance Company, and as President of Mortgage Women's Association. Upon retirement, she and her husband spent winters in Arizona, where she enjoyed swimming, gardening, and spending time with friends and family.
She is survived by her daughter Susan, her sons Robert (Erin) and Michael (Jackie), grandchildren Lindsey, Janae, Bret, and Kaleigh, nieces Christine, Michelle, and Katherine, sister Jane (Swartout) Blackwell-Schroeder (Bruce) in Salt Lake City, UT, and brother Gary Swartout (Narcille) in Spokane, WA.
Bette's family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Franciscan Hospice who provided sweet comfort and excellent care to Bette as well as the comfort they offered to our family.
A private family service and celebration of her life will be held Friday, June 25, 2010 at Tahoma National Cemetery.
