Bertha (Betty) S. Boland's Obituary
Betty Diedrich Boland Oct. 2, 1926 - Jan. 14, 2016 Betty was born in Tacoma and lived here all her life. She was a proud graduate of Lincoln High School, class of 1944 and was preceded in death by her husband Jim. Betty loved gardening and fishing, Jim also loved fishing and gambling. Together they traveled after Jim retired from 1977-1989. The surviving family includes 2 daughters, Annette Emard of Hoquiam, Bernadette Kline (Ron) of Puyallup, sister Katherine Dahl (Harry) of Lakewood, 8 grandchildren, Stacie Lacina, Mike Emard Jr., Mardi Colburn, Matt, Marc, Miles, Mylon and Moriah Emard; 8 great grandchildren, Maddie and Abbie Lacina, Joshua, Caitlin, Joseph and Evangeline Emard and BrinnLey and Violet Colburn. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews and cousins. As there will be no services, let your memories of Betty bring a smile to your face and warmth to your heart. Thanks to Franciscan Hospice for their care and compassion, donations in Betty's name may be made to them.
