Mr. and Mrs. Kent were very special family friends. My family has known the Kent's for more than fifty-five years. My brother and I still fondly remember the wonderful times our family spent visiting their home on Sprague Avenue in Tacoma. We had lots of fun playing with their dogs, Cocoa, Chiffon, and Duke.
We later had many found memories and wonderful times when they moved into the beautiful home they built in Puyallup.
I discovered that Mrs. Kent had passed away when I went to visit the gravesite of Mr. Kent. I had noticed that the headstone was covered with dirt and sand. I was shocked and wonder who would make a big mess like this? As I brushed off the dirt and sand to try to clean the headstone is when I discovered a new "2020" year marker. I immediately broke down and cried because I recently had talked to her over the phone.
I went home and had told my brother what I had discovered and we both were sad but had wonderful feelings that Mrs. Kent was in peace and now could be very happy. You see she missed her husband so very much. They were inseparable, a team and did everything together.
As I was driving back home from the gravesite, I was thinking about Mr. and Mrs. Kent and had noticed that the day was a beautiful day! The sun was out shining bright and comfortable. The warmth of the sunshine felt like a "warm hug" and that is when I realized it was a message from Mrs. Kent that she was alright! She's back with the love of her life, together again, Robert V. Kent and his beautiful bride Berta E. Kent.
We have so much gratitude in being blessed to have known and to have many cherished memories that Mr. and Mrs. Kent have shared with us.
Our wishes and prayers for those grieving Mrs. Kent's passing. May the Lord comfort you and fill your minds with the wonderful and loving memories you have of Mrs. Kent.
