I remember Bert from my days at Arlington grade school, Gray junior high, and Mount Tahoma. Even though I haven't seen him in years I can still picture his face in my mind. So sorry to hear of his passing. I was looking forward to seeing him at our 50th class reunion this summer. My prayers go out to his family and friends at this very difficult time. God be with you. RIP Bert.
When I was in the Army, and later as a civilian, I worked at Madigan Army Medical Center. Rarely was there an administrative email without his name. He was such a great part of MAMC. Later, I got to know Bert better and was impressed with his energy and will to get better and "drive on". He was a great man and I will always remember him. RIP Bert.
Bert was the type of boss who always had your back even when he was chewing your backside. It was an honor to know him.
I remember Bert as being a very friendly person. He would ALWAYS speak to me whenever he saw me in the halls at Madigan. He will be greatly missed! Prayers for Bert's family and friends during this sad time.
Bert was an amazing man and an icon at Madigan. My thoughts and prayers are with you all now and in the coming days and weeks ahead. Blessings. Jenn Dunbar
