Bernita A. ThompsonBernita A. Thompson, a longtime resident of Tacoma, WA was born on July 21, 1921 in Hoquiam, WA to Oliver (Jack) Benjamin Ackley and Sophia (Peggy) Ackley. She passed away on January 6, 2004 at Harborview Medical Center, Seattle, WA. Bernita is survived by her husband Paul, daughters Karyn Graves, Karlyn Carlson, Veronica Gonzales, sons Garry Carlson, Jerry (Betty) Carlson, Lonnie Gonzales, 9 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren. Services will be held on Sunday, January 11, 2004 at 1:00 PM in the Mt. View Garden Chapel. A reception will follow the service at the Southside Seventh Day Adventist Church, 230 S. 94th St., Tacoma.
