Bernice Selma Gomsrud's Obituary
Bernice Selma Gomsrud (“Granny” to those who knew her) was born in North Dakota on July 16th, 1923 and passed away on June 25th, 2024, just two weeks shy from turning 101. At the age of five years old, she moved to Washington state where she spent the remainder of her life. She was happily married to her high school sweetheart and from that marriage, produced two children; Patricia Hanson and Michael Gomsrud. Bernice had 6 grandchildren (Susan, Shari, Blair, Brett, Tara and Taylor) 7 Great grandchildren (Alex, Alyssa, Sami, Ashley, Tatum, Tessa & Tinsley) and 4 Great Great grandchildren (Carlin, Jackson, Payton & Kehlani) Bernice and her husband moved to Lakebay, WA after a long career in the retail industry. During her time in Lakebay, she volunteered for over 20 years at the Angel Guild Thrift Shop. She enjoyed beach walks in the evening and hosting Christmas Eve each year at her house. She is proceeded in death by her husband of 70 years, Emmett Gomsrud. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. We love you, Granny!
