Stewart, Bennie Jewel's Obituary
Bennie Jewel Stewart was born in Idabel, Oklahoma on August 27, 1937. Bennie departed this life on October 24, 2025, and was preceded in death by husband James I Stewart, son Rodney L Stewart, Mother Anna Johnson. And three brothers Jerome, Vicent and Mitch. Bennie leaves to mourn her passing: Terry K. Cypress, Earl K Stewart, Randall Stewart, Shawn L Stewart, Tonja M. Stewart and Tammy C. Gould. Her sister Cheryl and two brothers Larry and Kelvin. Bennie has several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Bennie met and married James I Stewart while he was serving in the United States Air Force, on December 2, 1955, in Madera California. Together they shared a beautiful journey of love and devotion. Their union was blessed with seven children. Throughout his service and travels to various countries, Bennie remained faithfully by his side. Following his retirement, they settled in Puyallup, Washington. Both accept Christ in their lives in 1988. Bennie remained faithful to her church. She was active in her congregation, serving as a greeter and working in the children nursey besides helping with the back-to-school programs. She was truly devoted and loved by many.
Her services will be held at Puget Sound Foursquare Church, 4020 S 56th St, Tacoma WA 98409 on November 21, 2025, starting at 9:30 with viewing: service at 10:00 am. The graveside service will be at the Mountain View Funeral Home, 4100 Steilacoom Blvd SW, Lakewood WA 98499 starting at 12:30 pm.
Flowers can be delivered to Mountain View Funeral Home. Please have flowers delivered one day prior to the service. All envelopes and cards are appreciated and there will be a basket in the foyer.
