I am one of the 11 grandchildren my name is Nichole Freudenstein i am David and Patty Freudensteins daughter and Ben is my grandfather. My memories are so vivid of grandpa and grandma both riding my bike from my house to theirs when i was young and i always thought it was so cool that grandpa and grandma had an old rotary phone that we could hear ring from miles away. I have fond memories of sleeping on the fold out "davenport" as grandpa would call it on a sleep over.ill never forget the taste of his sweet corn from the garden he knew how to grow the best tasting corn ever! Ill also never forget his voice serious but gentle and always so caring. Grandpa Ben encouraged me to get involved in the catholic religion and i spent many sundays beside him in church. Ill never forget the week he took my sister misty and i to long beach for the sand castle festival and my sister got lost on the beach with thousands of people everywhere. Grandpa told me and my cousins and my aunt Terry to get on our knees in the sand and pray we find my sister. Not even five minutes later a man dressed up like uncle sam on the board walk called out on a loud speaker would Terry Ross come to the board walk and there my sister was we were all so thankful and Grandpa Ben was always teaching me the power of the Lord! Now he gets to rest peacefully with the Lord and grandma and my dad David who is missed so much daily! I love you with all my heart grandpa thank you for all you have taught me mostly thank you for teaching me the power of prayer and the importance of family!
