Beatrice P. Sandvik9/23/22 Â- 11/4/04Beatrice was born on Sept. 9, 1922 in Seattle to Peder Pedersen and Louise Rockness Pedersen, who immigrated from Norway in 1914. She lived in Lopez Island for several years, but Seattle remained her home until moving to Tacoma in 2001. She graduated from Lincoln High School in 1939 and from the Swedish Hospital School of Nursing in 1943. She is preceded in death by her parents and brother Phillip Pedersen. Beatrice is survived by her son R. Peter Christensen and wife Diana; daughter Lise Christensen Reed and husband Gary; granddaughters Amy Reed Palmer, Mandy Reed, and Julie Christensen Daines. BeaÂ's wish was for no funeral service, but rather a gathering of her immediate family to disperse her remains over the Puget Sound she loved and enjoyed her entire life.
