BEATRICE BENSON
Beatrice Elaine Benson was born December 6, 1928 to Rudolph and Olive (Fosse) Ewy in Glasgow, Montana. She was the youngest of six children. She was preceded in death by siblings Evelyn, Charles, Philip, Lois, and Bernice. Beatrice graduated from Lincoln High School in Tacoma, Washington. She was an administrative officer with the civil service for 27 years. She was very active with The First Church of the Nazarene. Beatrice Benson married M.L.Davis in 1951. ML was deployed to the Korean War and was killed in action within weeks of arriving there. In 1974, Beatrice married Wilmont (Benny) Benson, who preceded her in death in 1989. Beatrice Benson leaves behind her brother-in-law Ernest (Dorothy) Shipman, nephews Steven Shipman, Gary Andrew, Brad (Celeste) Avy, and Mark Ewy, nieces Barbara (Ken) Sides and Jeanne (Richard) Hay, and Linda (Jay) Teal. Niece Connie York preceded her in death. Beatrice also leaves many great-nieces, nephews and their children. A memorial service will be held on Monday, July 11, 2011 at 3pm at The First Church of the Nazarene, 3640 S. M St. Tacoma, WA. Reception will follow in the fellowship hall. Arrangements by Mountain View Funeral Home.
