Barbara J Solberg's Obituary
Barbara J. Solberg, 91, passed away on October 12, 2019. She was born on February 28, 1928, the daughter of Glenn and Mary (Bailey) Dunlap.
Barbara enjoyed the outdoors and being in her garden. She loved flowers, and was a member of the Dahlia Society of Washington, the Tacoma Chapter. Through the society she was able to be a floral judge at the Washington State Fair for many years. Barbara worked for the Tacoma Metropolitan Park District before moving to Maui where she worked in condo management at Hale Pau Hana most of the 20 years she was there. In her spare time, Barbara also enjoyed golfing with her husband at the Meadow Park Golf Course and the Maui County Club.
Barbara is survived by her children, Gary, Sherry, and Sean (Nancy); grandchildren, Blake, Marsha, Addy, and Gavin; great grandchildren, Alexi, Jordan, and Taylor; and brother Dennis (Harriett). In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her beloved husband Fred Solberg, and son, Bob.
A viewing will be held from 10am-8pm on Sunday, November 3rd at Mountain View Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 4100 Steilacoom Blvd. SW, Lakewood. The funeral will be celebrated at 1pm on Monday, November 4, in the Garden Chapel at Mountain View.
