Barbara May Evans' Obituary
Barbara May Evans Born August 17, 1929 in Trinidad, Colorado; passed away February 18, 2008. Daughter to Ray Perry and Peggy Greer. Preceded in death by her sister Grace, Margaret, and son Kevin. She is survived by her six sons, Michael Hughbanks, Tim Hughbanks, Patrick Hughbanks, Dan Evans, Shaun Hughbanks, Rhys Evans, 15 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren. Barbara began modeling at age 15 and continued for 20 years. She was the house model for Best's Apparel, now Nordstrom. She also loved the theater, and participated in many productions at Cirque Theater and local community colleges. She then transitioned into the hospitality industry, working her way up to management at the Blue Dolphin, Holiday Motor Hotel, and the Chinook Hotel. Later in life she worked in Property Management at Harold Allen Realty in Lakewood. During her life she was the Education Chairman of Ryther Childrens Center, a member of the Lakewood Women in Business Association, and Lakewood Area Shelter Association. She had a full life and we will miss her deeply. Funeral services will be at 1:00 pm, Sunday, March 2, 2008 in the Mountain View Garden Chapel.
