Barbara Luthi's Obituary
Barbara Luthi, age 75, passed away October 28, 2018 in Tacoma, Washington. Barbara was born in Perth Amboy, New Jersey. She met the love of her life, Doug Luthi, in Bellevue, Washington and cherished their 52 years of marriage. She was an accomplished parasail captain, business owner, health care worker, mother to three, grandmother to nine, sister, aunt, and friend to many. She loved day trips with her husband, holidays with her family, being near the water, purse shopping, her morning coffee and apple fritters!
Barbara leaves behind a loving husband, Doug Luthi; three wonderful children: Doug Luthi Jr, Cyndi Schwanke, and Chrysti Zimmerman; nine amazing grandchildren: Riley Luthi, Katie Luthi, Quentin Luthi; Eddie Schwanke, Dustin Schwanke, Stephanie Jones, Gary Schwanke Jr., Brandon Zimmerman, Blake Zimmerman. She also leaves behind her incredible sister, Linda Booker and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Barbara’s warmth, gentle nature, and easy laugh will be dearly missed by her many family and friends.
A ‘Celebration of Life Gathering’ will be held, Sunday, November 4th from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm in the Willow Room on the grounds of Mountain View Memorial Park.
Memorials may be directed to the Tacoma Humane Society or American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA).
