Barbara R. Lawson's Obituary
Barbara Respicio Lawson, of Lakewood, Washington, passed away peacefully on December 16, 2025, at the age of 78, surrounded by love. Born on November 20, 1947, Barbara lived a life rooted in faith, family, compassion, strength, and unconditional love.
Barbara was deeply devoted to God, and her faith guided her through every season of life. A faithful church attendee for many years, she was a devoted prayer warrior who lifted her family and loved ones daily through prayer, encouragement, and unwavering belief. Her spiritual strength and faith-filled presence will be deeply missed.
Family was the heart of Barbara’s life. She was a loving and devoted mother, a proud grandmother, and a joyful great-grandmother. She was blessed to meet her first great-grandchild, Isaac Kai Beck, whom she lovingly waited for before leaving this world. Holding him brought her profound joy and peace—a cherished moment her family will forever hold close.
Barbara found joy in life’s simple pleasures, including gardening, music, singing, playing the piano, dancing, Bible study, and spending meaningful time with family and friends. She was lively, sweet, and deeply loving, with a strength and resilience that inspired all who knew her. She fiercely protected those she loved and stood firmly for what was right.
Barbara had an open heart and abundant compassion. She welcomed others as family, offering kindness, generosity, and grace without condition. Her love left a lasting imprint on everyone she encountered.
Even during a difficult year of declining health, Barbara fought bravely, carrying herself with strength and dignity until the very end. Her perseverance, faith, and love remain an enduring legacy.
Barbara is survived by her loving children and spouses: Jerry M. Teano; Leanne and Raymond Siguenza; Jonathan Mike Teano. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren: Brittany and Eli Beck; Raymond and Celina Siguenza; Jeryl Teano; Tirzah and Anthony Deolio; Jonathan Anderson; Jordan Teano; Malia Teano; and Josiah Teano; and her beloved great-grandchildren: Taylor Beck, Isaac Beck, Mavis Deolio, and Enzo Deolio. She is also survived by her sisters and their spouses: Jo Ann Cruz; Delores Faisao; Marie and Dave Toves; Tina and Ron de Guzman.
Barbara also leaves behind many cousins, nieces, nephews, friends, and members of her church family.
Though she will be deeply missed, her family takes comfort in knowing she is now at peace, reunited with loved ones and with our Father in Heaven.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at 11:30 a.m., with viewing beginning at 10:45 a.m., at Mountain View Funeral Home Garden Chapel in Lakewood, Washington. All who knew and loved Barbara are welcome to attend and celebrate her life.
