Barbara L. Pitman's Obituary
Born June 6, 1934 in Benton County, IL to Ernest and Ada Mocaby, passed away peacefully at Franciscan Hospice House in University Place June 17, 2005. Preceded in death by two brothers and one grandson. Survivors include her husband of 47 years, James Kirby Pitman; daughters Sue Morgan, Cindy Pitman, and Jackie (Jeffrey) Kuwik; step-children John Kirby Pitman, Charles Walker Pitman, and Nancy Bradley; brothers Irwin (Donna), Doug, Blaine (Joyce), George (Doris), Roy (Connie) and sister Laveda Shaw (Bill); as well as numerous grand and great-grandchildren. She was a devoted wife and mother, a great sports fan, a long-time member of Holy Rosary Parish, and the TOPS Organization.Memorial Donations may be made to Franciscan Hospice House, 2901 Bridgeport Way West, University Place, WA 98466, (253) 534-7073.Viewing will be held 9:00 AM - 9:00 PM, June 21, 2005 at Mountain View Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at St. JosephÂ's Catholic Church in Tacoma. There will be a rosary at 10:30 AM followed by mass at 11:00 AM on June 22, 2005.
