My thoughts and prayers are with you, and may the comfort of friends and family give you strength for today and the days ahead. As I spent time today thinking of all the years that have passed, several special memories came to mind. I remember growing up across the street from Barb and Dug and knowing then how nice it was to have neighbors that you were so close to and cared so much for. I remember when Barb and Dug graciously opened their house so we could throw a surprise 35th Anniversary Party for Mom and Dad. Barb was so enthused and anxious to make it a great party, and she was very successful. I remember Mom and Barb talking on the phone on Saturday mornings or out in the yard chatting and sharing the latest stories. They became very close friends and that friendship lasted throughout all these many years, even when the two families moved apart. As the boys were growing up, I remember Barb always asking about them and wanting to know all the latest details. She was always so interested and excited over each of their accomplishments. I remember taking Barb and Mom shopping in Seattle and then spending the night at the WAC. They both made sure we allowed time for their "Cocktail Hour". It was a very fun week-end filled with much laughter. I remember many lunches, dinners, and special gatherings with Barb, and on each occasion she always made me feel that she was so very happy to see me. She was a very kind and caring person and I will miss her very much. I hope your memories will be a source of comfort to you during this difficult time, and hope that it helps in some way to know that friends are sharing your sorrow. Love, Stevie##imported-begin##Stephanie Henderson##imported-end##
Our thoughts and prayers are with you. I have fond memories of visiting and playing with Dug and Greg when I was little. Barb was always great to us. Barb also seemed to run the Lakewood communication grapevine. She always knew what was going on with all of the kids as we got older. And when we saw her, she was always asking how we were, what we were doing, and what's new with the kids. Barb was very kind and fun to be around. We'll miss her.

I knew Barbara through Tacoma Delta Delta Delta Alumnae Club. She was a faithful member for many years. I enjoyed seeing her recently at Bev Harrelson's Christmas cookie party.##imported-begin##Jackie Stenger##imported-end##
