Barbara Lee Dunbar's Obituary
She was born Sept 22, 1926 in Galesburg, Illinois, passed away at home with her husband of 73 years, Wayne, previously of Lakewood, by her side.
“Bobbi”, as her friends called her, met the love of her life, Wayne, as a teenager. They married in 1945 and moved to Lakewood in 1949, where they raised four children: Patricia Wheaton (Terry) Spanaway, Michael (deceased) (Linda) Dupont, James Chehalis, and Nancee Alvord (Darrell) Salkum. Barbara retired from Clover Park Schools as a cook.
She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother (10) and great grandma (10). She was very proud of her family and cherished spending time with them. Bobbi always saw the positive side of all things. She was companionate, fair, quick witted with a fun sense of humor. Her good cheer and ability to look forward kept her life free of grudges.
Her greatest joy in life was her grandchildren. She loved RVing with friends, watching sports, and attending the yearly family and friends’ reunion.
Services will be held at Mt View Funeral Home on Feb 19th at 1:00 pm.
