Barbara Bennett's Obituary
Barbara Bennett
Born 10/2/1939 in Shelton, WA, died 12/28/2011 from a month-long battle with stage 4 lung cancer. Barb lived most of her life in Tacoma and University Place. She graduated from Lincoln High School in 1957, and that same year married Gary Bennett, her husband of 54 years. The marriage produced three children: Marc Bennett, Pam McClain, and Cheri Bricks. Her working years started by working at a dog grooming shop, then owning her own ship, and finally working for her brother, Jim Stevenson, at Lincoln Lanes in Tacoma. Barb is survived by her husband, three children, brother, 6 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, in-laws, cousins, nieces and nephews, and many close friends. Barb requested cremation, a niche at Mt. View Memorial Park, and no memorial ceremony.
Arrangements by Mountain View Funeral Home.
