Barbara Ann Chatman's Obituary
Barbara Ann Chatman Barbara Ann Chatman passed away on the morning of January 30, 2008 from Unknown Primary, Adnocarcinoma. Barbara was Born August 12, 1935 in Seoul, South Korea as Ul Hi Yun. Barbara was the fourth child of six, all females, born to Yun Yong Yu and Lee Yong Lim. At the age of fifteen South Korea was invaded by North Korea and her life was forever changed by the ugliness of War. After the war ended Barbara became a Telephone Operator and eventually met and married Cleophus Dwane Chatman, Jr., (33rd degree Mason and Past Most High Grand Priest Holly Royal Arc Masonry) on December 28, 1960. Dwane and Barbara raised four kids during the first 24 years of their marriage. They continued to be a power couple and had a two prong focus: The first was about Community and how they could give back and help people in need; The second focus was to design and build the home of their dreams. They were successful at both of these focuses. Barbara is survived by her four children: Vicki E. Brooks; Cleophus D. Chatman, III; Ronald E. Chatman; and Larry D. Chatman; and Three Sisters Chang C. Kim , So Hi Saito and Angel Kang Hi Smith. A memorial service for Barbara Ann Chatman will be held on Wednesday, February 6, 2008 at 2:00 pm. It will be held in the Valley Chapel at Mountain View Memorial Park. Pasture Lee from Tacoma First Baptist Church will guide the program. At 3:00 pm there will be a Celebration of Barbara's life at the Tacoma First Baptist Church. Please come ready to eat and reminisce.
