Audrey I. Berg's Obituary
Died, Feb. 4, 2006 at age 77 of a massive stroke with her family all around her. She was born Jan. 1, 1929 the daughter of John and Mable Campbell in Kansas City, Kansas. She grew up there graduating from Wyandotte High School and then going to work as an operator for Bell Telephone. In 1947 she moved to Tacoma, WA again working for Bell as an operator supervisor, retiring as a line assigner after 30 years. She met and married Dean Berg in Tacoma. They had four children two boys Donald Berg and Jeffery Berg, two girls Sandra Cameron and Joan Strayer. She had fourteen grandchildren and six great-grand kids whom she dearly loved and who also loved her, even though she made them behave. Besides her husband whom she was married to for 57 years, she leaves behind a brother Wayne Campbell of Cleveland, OH, two sisters Dorthy Burri of Raytown, MO and Jackie Flesher of Glen Elder, KS. She is also survived by her two friends who were like her own children Joe and Pat buck of Tacoma. Preceding her in death are her parents and a baby granddaughter Twyla Cameron. She was a world traveler who along with her husband has been on 30 cruises which she dearly loved. She at times took her grandchildren along. She and her husband made 25 air trips and one cruise trip to Hawaii. She was a wonderful Sister, Wife, Mother and Grandmother, whom we all will dearly miss. Public viewing: 12:00pm Â- 9:00pm, Thurs. Feb. 9, and 8:00am Â- 10:00am, Fri. Feb. 10, at Mountain View Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am, Fri. Feb. 10, 2006 in the Mountain View Garden Chapel.
