Audree Nielle Schutz's Obituary
A graveside memorial service for Audree N. Schutz, age 87, will be held Saturday, June 18, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. at Goldenrod Cemetery in Tekoa, WA. Pastor Kathy Kramer will officiate at the service. A drop in reception for family and friends will follow at the family home, 401 S. Crosby Street, in Tekoa. Mrs. Schutz passed away on March 14th in Centralia, Washington.
She was born Audree Nielle Woods on November 23, 1928 at Tekoa, Washington to Leonard and Gladys (Nunnally) Woods. She attended schools in Tekoa, graduating from Tekoa High School in 1946. Audree then attended Kinman Business University in Spokane where she received a degree in bookkeeping.
Audree married Clyde L. Schutz on November 23, 1946 at Spokane, Washington and the couple made their home in Tekoa. Clyde was the owner / manager of Stateline Processors in Tekoa. Audree worked at the Sweet Shop in Tekoa for several years, and later worked as the bookkeeper for Tekoa Grain Growers and State Line Processors in Tekoa. Her husband Clyde died in December of 1987. Audree continued to live in Tekoa until moving to Napavine in 2014 to be near her son Dan.
Her hobbies included reading and spending time with her grandchildren on the houseboat. She enjoyed playing cards and ceramics. Audree also was a sorority house mother at Washington State University for several years.
Survivors include her children, Kerry (Sue) Schutz of Mossyrock, WA, Dan (Penny) Schutz of Napavine, WA, Ken (Lea Ann) Schutz of Spokane, WA, and Dianne (Karl) Webber of Tekoa; foster children Bob (LLori) Lindblad of Kissimmee, Florida and Bob (Lee) Crews of Aurora, Colorado; one sister Joyce Walters of Seattle, WA and one brother, Evan Woods of Des Moines, WA; 13 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
