Atsuko Grimes' Obituary

Atsuko Grimes was born on January 2, 1930. She was an only child. Atsuko was an elementary school teacher in Japan. She joined the Buddhist organization, Soka Gakkai International (SGI), in 1958 and has been a devoted member for 58 years. She met her husband, Don, while he was stationed in Japan. They moved to Washington state 46 years ago. Atsuko was always very kind to people and animals. She also loved to play the piano. Atsuko passed away on October 16, 2016 with her family by her side. She will be greatly missed by her surviving family members consisting of her husband Don; children, Don Jr, Liz, Mike and Ed; grandchildren, Stephanie, Brandon, Lena, Taylor and Jeffrey and her extended SGI family and many close friends.
