Arthur W. Randolph's Obituary
Arthur W. Randolph died peacefully and with dignity September 14, 2002 from complications of cancer, never complaining and always saying Â"I am just fineÂ". Art was born in Chicago, Illinois on March 8, 1915, one of five boys. Raised in Mpls. MN and moved to Tacoma in 1951. His passions were golf and his family and friends. Art retired from John Hancock Insurance Co. in 1972 and stayed busy working with Eunice, on Rainier Shows until they retired in 1982. He was Past President of Northwestern ShowmanÂ's Club and Royal Hawaiian ShowmenÂ's Club. He was Past Patron of Warren Chapter, Order of Eastern Star and active with the Shriners (Greeters) and Tacoma Elks. For many years he and Eunice were members of a dance club with a group of friends, known as Â"The Rat Pack.Â"Art is survived by his devoted wife of 62 years, Eunice; daughter Christine Hoss (Howard); grandchildren, Traci Newton (Boyd), Mitchell Hoss (Crystal), great grandson, Jackson Newton, and one due in December; also many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Franciscan Hospice, in thanks for their exceptional care and support.A Celebration of ArtÂ's life will be held on September 18, 2002 at 12:00 P.M. in the Mountain View Garden Chapel, Tacoma followed by graveside service at Washington Memorial Cemetery, Sea-Tac. 3:00P.M. in the ShowmenÂ's Rest.
