Arthur Leonard HageArthur L. Hage, born to John and Augusta (Pederson) Hage on October 12, 1916 in Lake Park, MN, passed away Sunday, March 14, 2004 at Belmont Terrace Nursing home in Bremerton, WA. He graduated from Lake Stevens High School in 1934, and enlisted in the Navy the next year. Arthur was trained at the US Naval Station in San Diego, and served on the Aircraft Carrier Bunker Hill, where he advanced from enlisted chief fire controlman, to commission of ensign USN plus subsequent promotions including LCDR. In 1943 he married Dorothy Marshall; they were happily married until DorothyÂ's passing in 1985. In 1956, Arthur retired from the Navy as a LCDR, and then worked for the Washington State Patrol, in Tacoma, WA from 1957-1982. In 1988 he married Lois Â"DollieÂ" Hage. Arthur was an avid gardener, bird watcher, nature lover, history buff, and family man.Arthur was preceded in death by 2 sisters, 6 brothers, and his beloved wife, Dorothy. He is survived by wife, Lois; 4 children: Lesslie Moore, of Plano, TX, Robert Hage of Coquille, OR, Debbie Hage, of Tacoma, WA, and Abbie Hage, of Tacoma; 2 stepdaughters: Kris Brown and Jeri Kalmbach, both of Bremerton, WA; 2 grandchildren: Sean Hage, of California, and Kimberly Wilson of Plano, TX; and 3 step grandchildren: Chris Kalmbach, of Moses Lake, Brian Kalmbach of Bellingham, and Robin Aguiluz, of Bremerton.A military burial will be held at 12:30pm, Thursday, March 18, 2004 at Mountain View Memorial Park, 4100 Steilacoom Blvd. SW, Tacoma. Memorial service will be at 12:00pm, Saturday, March 20, at Emmanuel Lutheran Church.
