Arthur James Hargrove's Obituary
Ret. Sgt. Arthur James Hargrove Born in Ballentine, MT on January 27, 1928; died in Tacoma, WA on June 27, 2008 of A.L.L. leukemia. Preceded in death by wife Rosie. Survived by aunt Katherine Hargrove of Graham, son James of Puyallup, daughter-in-law Roleen, daughter Linda Godwin of Graham, son-in-law Terry, granddaughters Trinity, grandson-in-law Richard Rittierodt, Charity Roid, five great-grandsons, Dion, Devon, River, Ayden and Evan, and his favorite canine partner, Sarge, all of the Tacoma-Puyallup area, and many other relatives in Montana. Arthur was a veteran of WWII, proudly serving in the U.S. Navy in the South Pacific. He lived in the Tacoma area, and retired from the Tacoma Police Department after 43 years of dedicated service. Services will be held in the Mountain View Valley Chapel at 11:00am Tuesday, July 1, 2008. Viewing Monday from 12 - 9pm. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Franciscan Hospice.
