Arthur C. Herstrom's Obituary
Arthur C Herstrom, 100, of Steilacoom, WA passed away July 9, 2025. He was born on July 4, 1925, in Tacoma, WA.
He was preceded in death by his wife Virginia. He is survived by his son Andrew Herstrom, son Douglas Herstrom and his wife Lori, daughter Carolyn Tyrrell and her husband Dan, granddaughter Kristin and her husband Conrad Haustviet, and great-grandson Peyton. He is also survived by nephews Frederick, Junior, and Christopher.
Art was a graduate of Clover Park High School, the University of Washington and Stanford University. He was a Navigator and Bombardier on a B-29 during World War II and during the Korean War.
Art was an electrical engineer and worked for Tacoma City Light and Boeing Co. He was a member of Tau Beta Pi, a registered professional engineer and a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers.
He served on the committee of Boy Scout Troop 53 and was a volunteer tutor in the Steilacoom School District. He was a member of Lake City Community Church.
Graveside service will be held on July 29th 2025 at 10:30 am at Mountain View Funeral Home and Memorial Park.
