Arnold Nordlund's Obituary
"Arnie," 77, passed away on October 8, 2013 in Tacoma, surrounded by his family. He was born to Elinor and Marvin Nordlund on July 28, 1936 in Tacoma. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Elaine, his two brothers, Ivan and Steve, daughter Lisa, son-in-law Dennis, son Marc, daughter-in-law Erica, and his grandchildren Angus, Ellie, and Milo, who were the joy of his life.
Arnold graduated from Stadium High School in 1955 and continued his education, graduating from Bates Technical College two years later. He worked as a commercial repairman for Ajax Electric Company for over 20 years. He continued to work until his retirement from Center Electric in 2000. He was an active member of his community, volunteering for youth sports, past president of the Fircrest Kiwanis Club, a member of Pot and Kettle, and served 8 years in the Washington National Guard. Arnold was also an avid sportsman and a member of the Tacoma Sportsman's Club.
