Arnold C. JohnsonArnold C. Johnson was born August 27, 1931, in Birmingham, Alabama to Herman and Eleazer Johnson. As a young lad he ran errands and helped his father in a local construction business. At the young age of twenty, he joined the United States Air Force. During that time, he met and married Mitsue (Takagi) Johnson of Nagoya, Japan. He became an immediate and devoted father to Masao Johnson, Ruby Johnson, and later the birth of Anthony Johnson. He spent 26 years in the Air Force, and retired in 1976. Afterward, he went to the Port of Tacoma, where he worked in the Security until January 2002. Arnold is preceded in death by his wife, Mitsue and son Anthony. He is survived by his daughter and son and a host of relatives, brothers and sisters in Birmingham, Alabama, and a large extended family at the Port of Tacoma. Viewing will be Wednesday, 12 March 2003, 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Mountain View Funeral Home, 4100 Steilacoom Blvd. S.W., Tacoma. Services will be held on Thursday, 13 March 2003, 10:00 AM at the Mt. View Garden Chapel.
