Arlene T. Acfalle's Obituary
Arlene Taitague Acfalle, age 61 a Tacoma resident passed away Wednesday January11, 2017 at Tacoma General Hospital. She was the third of nine children born September 9, 1955 in Tamuning, Guam to Thomas Meno Taitague and Martha Meno Taitague (Paulino).
She attended Inarajan elementary, Inarajan Jr. High, Notre Dame High school and Guam Community College earning her high school diploma and community college credits. After graduation, she began a career as Civil Servant at the Government of Guam Department of Public Safety, the Department of Revenue and Tax and also Guam Telephone Authority. Arlene left Guam in 2001 and moved to Los Angeles, California then relocating to Washington State in April 2007. She married Vicente (Ben) Acfalle on February 9, 1979 in Inarajan, Guam and was a member of St. Joseph Inarajan and San Dimas Marizo Parish. She taught CCD at San Dimas Parish and was in the choir at St. Joseph's Parish as well as Fatima Rosary Crusade. Her most important events were marriage and birth of her three children Zachary, Vanessa and Eric who were always happy, proud, respectful, contented, loyal, courteous, kind and obedient to their mother. Arlene's favorite hobbies, activities were singing in the choir and her favorite song was "The Most Beautiful Girl in the World". Arlene is survived by: Husband Vicente Acfalle of Tacoma; Daughters Vanessa and Krystal Acfalle; Sons Zachary and Eric Acfalle; Sisters Yvonne Castro, Shirley Naputi, Brenda Chargualaf, Joan San Nicolas and Karen Herlihy. Also surviving are brothers Harry, Ken and Peter Taitague and by John Leon Guerrero. 4 grandchildren Eesa, Umar, Maryann and Ayesha Johnson and other numerous relatives.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday January 19, 2017 11:00 am at The Church of the Visitation Parish 3314 So. 58th St. Tacoma 98409 with a Rosary to be recited prior to Mass. Graveside services will follow at Mountain View Memorial Park in Lakewood approximately 1:30. Following the graveside, a reception for family and friends will be at Visitation Church.
