Arden L. Ashbaugh's Obituary
Arden Lynn Ashbaugh, a proud veteran of the Vietnam War, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of courage, love, and dedication. Born on July 31, 1941, in Tacoma, Washington, to Jack and Bernice Ashbaugh, Arden exemplified the values of service and commitment throughout his life.
After graduating from Franklin Pierce High School, Arden answered the call of duty and served in the U.S. Army for over seven years, embodying the spirit of resilience and honor that defines our nation's heroes. His experiences during the Vietnam War shaped him into a man of strength and compassion, qualities that he carried into every aspect of his life.
Arden had a passion for bowling, often participating in tournaments that brought him joy and camaraderie. He cherished the friendships he made along the way, and his laughter and enthusiasm for the sport will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Janet Ashbaugh; his brother, David. He is survived by his beloved daughters, Kristine Roetger of Spanaway, Washington, and Stacy Frazier (Monte) of Lufkin, Texas. Arden also leaves behind his brother, Laran Ashbaugh of Tacoma, Washington, along with five cherished grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, who were the light of his life.
Arden's family invites all who knew him to join them in honoring his memory at a graveside service on Friday, September 5, 2025, at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent, Washington, at 9:00 AM.
Arden Lynn Ashbaugh will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of those who loved him. May he rest in peace.
