Ardelle (Linda) A. Marin
Ardelle 'Linda' Marin passed away peacefully at her home in Lacey on December 9, 2009, at the age of 84, with her daughter Cindy, granddaughter Tammy and great granddaughter Jennie by her side. The second child of Dudley and Esther Davies, OLinda' was born in Tacoma, WA, on October 5, 1925. Linda grew up and lived in Tacoma until she met her future husband Fredrick H. Marin of Newark, Ohio, in 1942. They were married in January of 1944. During their early years of marriage Fred and Linda traveled to various locations in the US because of Fred's employment with the Civil Service. They eventually relocated to Tacoma, to the home in which Linda lived for 43 years. In 2000, Linda made the choice to move to Lacey, WA, to be closer to her daughter and her family. She enjoyed the last years of her life Ocannon balling' off the dock at Long Lake, partaking in family holiday dinners and visiting with local friends.
Linda is survived by her daughters Sue Ann Johnson (Wayne) of Queen Creek, AZ , Cindy Powell (Alan) of Olympia, WA, five grandchildren, Renee Knoll, Reno, NV, Tammy Packard (Sean), Edgewood, WA, Patrick DeLaVergne (Sandra) Chandler, AZ, Jason Powell (Amber) of Tumwater, WA, Brandon Powell of Olympia, WA, seven great grand children and many nieces and nephews in Ohio. Linda was cared for very lovingly in her last year and a half by Erlinda Lucero, her "Guardian Angel O'and Erlinda's staff at Santo Nino Adult Family Home in Lacey, WA. Linda was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband Fred and her daughter Sheryl Lynn (Reimers).
Viewing will be at Mt. View Funeral Home Saturday and Sunday, December 12th and 13th from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Linda requested no funeral service. In lieu of flowers we ask that donations be sent to Providence SoundHomeCare and Hospice of Olympia.
