I will always remember Antonio, although I live up in Toronto,he had an impact on my life. We shared many personal stories,laughed and cried together. Even though we were miles away now, he made me feel like he was right there. He was a great person a will never be forgotten. I love you man. My only regret was never finding time to come down and visit.

My sincerest condolences to the Family; for your tremendous loss. I had the pleasure of serving overseas with this fine young man. As a true testament to his character and giving nature he volunteered to join our unit to deploy to Iraq from 2008-2009 in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. It was during that time that so many Soldiers in our unit got to know Antonio Spears; while he was a quiet Soldier he was always quick with a smile. He made those around him feel at ease, with his gentle nature and warm personality, he was good troop who served honorably. I am honored to meet such a wonderful person in his short life. We met at Bates Tech in the machinist program. Although our friendship was short lived he had a "zest" for life, his smile was infectious and his laugh was contagious. I will never in my lifetime meet another person quite as special as Antonio! He was an amazing soul! He was always smiling and I couldnt be in a bad mood around him, if I tried. Everytime I saw him he would give me the best hugs! We never lost contact over the years, stayed in touch ,but I haven't seen him in person in a long time. Something I will regret now, you always think that you have time. You get busy and may say next week or next month you never imagine such a young wonderful man's life being cut so short. I'm grateful to have had so many good times and memories with antonio and other high school friends. Nov 4th was my moms birthday but that day will never be the same knowing that a good good friend had passed away. Thru other family and friends deaths i have had to go thru, i have learned to take nothing for granite and to live life happy and blessed. Everybody goes thru hardships but like jared kalinski said we should all be grateful just to be alive. Life is precious, live it one day at a time. I know your in a better place and am kinda jealous lol but it isnt my time yet but when it is i cant wait to see you again my friend. I will always remember Antonio.s beautiful laugh, and his warm smiles. He was a huge part of my highschool life and although we went our seperate ways we made sure to never lose touch. He never had one bad thing to say about anyone, if anything he would try to make everyone get a long. It was just the other day we were catching up on eachothers life and reminiscing. Its so heartbreaking that such a wonderful person was taken too soon. I know u will be watching over all of us big bear :) I will forever miss you.
